Victory Ottoman

This Victory Ottoman is a unique prototype created for the artist's studio. The stool is a variations on seating for Victory, a battleship inspired restaurant at the Meadowlands with 40' high curved walls armored in 16 gauge cold-rolled steel. 

Made in Chicago, 2013. The hand-carved sculptures for the legs were scanned in three dimensions, manipulated digitally and then translated into molds used to cast recycled aluminum-magnesium alloy for the exoskeleton of the Victory Ottoman. The metals were rubbed with acid to create a dark patina. The stool was upholstered in leather in a prototypical form.
