"Those trees,Those trees, Those Truffula Trees. All my life I'd been searching for trees such as these"
From "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss.
PROCESS + MATERIALS
The legs and lamp pod were created using a combination of hand carving, 3-d scanning, inverted 3-D printing. These elements were then cast in recycled magnesium-aluminum, burnished, acid rubbed and then welded.
Inspired by the photos of Karl Blossfeldt and the philosophy and drawings of Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss).
SMALL BATCH STUDIO FURNISHINGS
Mozer Studios handcrafts all of their small batch products in Chicago, employing environmentally and socially sustainable materials and techniques. New pieces are created with reclaimed and recycled materials that develop pleasing patinas over time. Nuanced irregularities of form surface and finish is evidence of the handwork that make each piece unique.
