Manga Mugs /Vases, Hand Blown Glass.
Note: Each vase is unique; they vary slightly in size and form. Some are etched and some are smooth glass.
PROCESS + MATERIALS
Hand blown glass formed to full size drawings and sculpted maquettes. Lightly etched surface.
Originally designed as beer mugs for an American-Japanese restaurant in Matsuyama City, on Shikoku Island in Japan. Mozer's design for the restaurant was an answer to the question, "what would it be like to walk into a cartoon or a manga?", a notion generated by the fusion menu and location in a youthful neighborhood.
SMALL BATCH STUDIO FURNISHINGS
Mozer Studios LLC handcrafts all of their small batch products. They are never mass produced. We invite our patrons to embrace the nuanced irregularities of form, surface and finish as evidence of that handwork, defining each piece as one of a kind.
